Reading your testimony has softened my tendency to resist. I have leaned in more to the things that bring my body ease. It has been a learning journey, where I feel like I am finally paying attention and truly listening to my body.
i’ve thought about this a lot in the past week. i think i’ve always had an “all or nothing” mentality. i’ve always thought it’s easier to start a new habit or commit to something on a monday, while it’s a motivating idea, on the first of the month, at the start of a new school year, etc. sometimes you just have to do something because it’s a random wednesday or because it feels good to do so in that moment. not everything has to be perfect. like angela said above—do a little better each day. it’s good to know that others struggle with the same stuck mindset from time to time. great read, birch!
A reminder to do a little better each day helps me. But I also try to allow myself grace in knowing I’m doing the best I can, when I can.
A little better each day... yes, that. I think of it as little one degree turns. Thanks for sharing your mindset around this topic. xx
